What makes the Mother Goose Hotel a great place to stay?
Mother Goose is a very special 23-room hotel on the Ganzenmarkt square in Utrecht. The rooms have been decorated in four different color themes – white, brown, grey and black – and each room is unique. They come in four classes: small, medium, large and en suite. The hotel has a warm atmosphere to it, without being too pristine. All the rooms have a painting of the Dom Tower on the wall, as well as beautiful little natural objects, like framed bird feathers, wooden tables and soft plaid blankets. The attic is furnished with a funky hanging chair. And there’s always the spectacular view of Utrecht’s Dom Tower.

Breakfast is served at Café Daen’s, a picturesque café just 50 meters away. It’s a great place, where they serve up tasty croissants, homemade muesli or scones for breakfast, and you can also buy clothes there too.
What’s the most fun thing nearby?
Taking a walk through the historical inner city is always a pleasure. For a real adventure, visit Dom Under. To explore this exhibition, you’re given a ‘smart’ flashlight that allows you to view the archeological finds, and you can also listen to the stories about the hidden history of 2,000 years of Dom square.
What’s a nice restaurant in the neighborhood?
Restaurant ‘De Rechtbank’ is situated in the former courthouse (rechtbank) of Utrecht. It is open all day long. You can also visit Stadscafé Broers (broers.eu) and enjoy the wonderful local beers they serve there.
