In each edition of Flow, we feature an illustrated ‘How To’, like how to make vegetable soup, for example. Or how to grow plants from cuttings. In Issue 15, we explain how to give a speech, all beautifully illustrated by Ruby Taylor. In this blog, we share one of the tips.
Don’t write your speech down completely word for word. Talking from memory or using a few notes as prompts are far more entertaining ways to deliver a speech – as well as to hear one – and will feel more natural. You’ll have better contact with your audience, as you can look them in the eye and hold their attention.
You can find the other tips in issue 15, which is available in our shop.
