Can you feel loss for something you’ve never known? BBC Radio 4 addresses this question in its environmental thriller, Forest 404.
Set in the 24th century after an apocalyptic event, it centers around an archivist who discovers sound recordings of a lost natural world. Each episode is layered with a factual talk and an evocative soundscape, and there’s also an interactive experiment to assess the therapeutic effects of listening to natural sounds.
