What do you notice when you have a positive outlook on the world? For issue 19, we asked seven illustrators to draw the good things in life that makes them happy. One of them is Emma Fitzgerald.
“What I see are the little things that make the world a friendlier place. My illustration is based on the houses I used to see as a young girl in Vancouver. The gardens all seemed to be tended by little old ladies; they are my inspiration for how I want to be when I’m old. When you coax some color into the world, it catches the attention of other people.”
