According to a study in the United Kingdom, people who spend at least two hours a week in nature feel healthier and happier.
From almost 20,000 participants asked, those who spent at least 120 minutes in nature (their own backyard did not count, however) were more likely to say that they are satisfied with their lives and were more likely to rate their health as (very) good, even if they were objectively perceived not to be healthy. Ultimately, the researchers hope to be able to come up with a recommended amount of time that should be spent in nature every week.
