Art, interiors, botanical prints and her own work: Illustrator Yelena Bryksenkova created a very personal atmosphere as the guest pinner on our Friends of Flow Pinterest page this month. Thanks Yelena! Now it’s the turn of weaver Maryanne Moodie, who will take over from Yelena for the month of July.
Maryanne calls herself a ‘fiber-obsessed maker’ and weaves beautiful rugs. She lives in Melbourne, where she enjoys the relaxed atmosphere Australia has to offer, and also has a studio in Brooklyn, US, which she visits several times a year. “Weaving is a real passion for me,” Maryanne says. “I find peace in the repetitive movements. Pinterest is a great source of inspiration. I look at images that are related to fashion, interiors, plants, flowers and—of course—woven works. It is also a great place to get whisked away into another—dreamy—world. I post pictures of my own work on Pinterest, too, and like the fact that I can keep all my ideas and desires together in one place.”
What can we expect from you on Pinterest this month?
“Lovely lush plants, minimalistic interiors, dream homes, beautiful ceramics, photo art and images of woven items.”
